purchased several acres of land and a 1763 farm house in
Sanbornton, NH, adjacent to the Calef Hill Farm which had
been purchased in 1938 by his son-in-law, Ralph G. Meader.
From 1947 through 1961, they lived in New Hampshire for April
- September and in Maryland for October - March.
