"On 26-Mar-1733 Mr. Chase's corn mill is mentioned in the town records. According to Deacon Leland, Dnaiel Chase built the first corn mill at Pleasant Falls, hence his common name, 'Miller Chase'. Daniel and his wife Sarah were admitted to the church in 1736 by letter from the church in Littleton, MA. In 1751 Daniel and his wife were among the 'separatists'."
