Hammer Technologies was founded in 1991 to develop testing technology for Computer-Telephony Integration (CTI) applications and related products.  Hammer was acquired in July, 1995 by Teradyne Inc. and developed into a leading provider of testing systems for voice and tone response systems as well as voice network control protocols.  Teradyne spun off Hammer Technologies and RSW Software, another Teradyne subsidiary, to form Empirix Corp. in 2000.

Notable projects & activities:

  • System architecture and design coordination for the PacketSphere™ network analyzer and network behavior emulator for OC-48 (2.4 Gb/s) Next Generation Networking, using C-Port C5 packet interface processors and VxWorks on PowerPC in a CompactPCI chassis.
  • Completed C-5 microcode training program provided by C-Port Inc.
  • Negotiated with outside consulting house for VxWorks platform software development on PowerPC main processor board.
  • Conceptual design and backplane connectivity for I/O transition board with C-Port C-5 network processor and physical network interfaces.
